The Wilderness Chef is a team of talented chefs and experienced hospitality professionals who specialise in creating unforgettable restaurant-quality dining experiences in extraordinary locations, from established venues to wild natural settings and everything in between.

Based in Newcastle, we cater at a wide range of local venues and also love to travel. We’ve cooked on mountaintops, among sand dunes and deep within remote forests. Our team has catered events on the summit of Mount Hotham in the middle of winter, throughout the Blue Mountains, the Hunter Valley, Tasmania, remote parts of Western Australia, far north Queensland and even in New Zealand. We are always up for the next adventure and can’t wait to explore more places with you.

Our approach to food is simple. We create incredible dishes designed to be shared and enjoyed among family and friends, while making choices that are thoughtful, responsible and sustainable.

Across our catering operations, we are constantly looking for ways to reduce waste and selecting eco friendly packaging options wherever possible.
