Ellie & Jackson’s McGuigan House Wedding

Friday, 10 October 2025 | McGuigan House | 135 guests

Spring was in full swing at McGuigan House when Ellie and Jackson celebrated their wedding with 135 of their favourite people.

With green, fresh gardens, beautiful sunny weather and a guest list ready to celebrate, it was the perfect setting for a wedding that managed to feel both relaxed and formal.

The dress code was black tie, with guests dressed in black and white, giving the day an elegant feel while the atmosphere remained energetic, fun and full of personality.

Cocktails, Canapés & The McGuigan House Gardens

We began the catering service with roaming canapés while guests enjoyed the beautiful grounds of McGuigan House.

With a drink in hand and plenty of space to mingle, guests could make the most of the spring weather while enjoying a selection of canapés served throughout the gardens.

Wild Ivory Mobile Bar looked after the drinks service, keeping the drinks flowing while guests caught up, explored the grounds and enjoyed the afternoon.

It was a great way to start the celebration and made the most of everything McGuigan House has to offer as a wedding venue.

An Elegant Marquee Reception

As the afternoon continued, guests made their way into the marquee for dinner.

Six long tables were set up for the 135 guests, creating a beautiful communal dining space. The styling was clean and understated, with white florals arranged in simple bud vases and table lamps adding a warm glow as the evening began.

It was a beautiful combination of elegance and simplicity that suited the black-tie dress code perfectly, while still feeling relaxed enough for everyone to settle in and enjoy themselves.

Dinner began with an entrée, followed by an abundant banquet-style main course, giving everyone the chance to enjoy the meal together around the long tables.

The banquet style worked particularly well for Ellie and Jackson’s wedding. There was something naturally social about having everyone seated together, sharing generous dishes and enjoying the meal as a group.

Dinner Turns Into Dancing

Once dinner was finished, the marquee quickly took on a completely different energy.

The tables made way for the dance floor and the relaxed atmosphere of the afternoon turned into a lively celebration, with guests dancing and making the most of the night.

It was one of those weddings where the energy just kept building throughout the day. The combination of beautiful spring weather, the stunning McGuigan House setting, an incredibly fun group of guests and a couple who clearly wanted everyone to have a great time made it such a memorable celebration.

A Beautiful Spring Wedding at McGuigan House

Ellie and Jackson’s wedding was a wonderful example of how you can bring together the elegance of a black-tie wedding with a relaxed, social atmosphere.

The beautiful gardens at McGuigan House provided the perfect setting for cocktails and roaming canapés, while the marquee created an intimate space for a long-table banquet before transforming into a lively dance floor later in the evening.

Thank you, Ellie and Jackson, for trusting The Wilderness Chef to be part of your wedding. It was such a pleasure catering for you, your family and all 135 of your wonderful guests.

We loved being part of such a fun celebration at McGuigan House.
