Emily & Brock’s Wedding at Leaves and Fishes

Emily and Brock’s wedding at Leaves and Fishes was one of those days that felt calm, connected and completely grounded in what matters most, celebrating with the people closest to you.

Set in the lush surrounds of the Hunter Valley, the venue provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxed and intimate celebration, with 69 guests coming together for a day that flowed effortlessly from ceremony to evening.

After the ceremony, guests moved into a relaxed cocktail hour beginning at 4:30pm. This was a chance for everyone to come together, settle into the space and enjoy the atmosphere while the celebration continued to unfold.

We served a selection of canapés throughout this time, creating a social and easy-going start to the reception. Guests mingled, chatted and enjoyed the first taste of the menu in a way that felt natural and unhurried.

At 6pm, guests were invited to take their seats for a banquet-style dinner designed to feel communal, generous and shared.

This style of dining works beautifully for weddings like Emily and Brock’s. It brings everyone together in a way that feels natural, encouraging conversation as dishes are placed down the centre of the table and passed around.

With vegetarian, dairy free and allergy requirements carefully catered for, the menu ensured every guest felt included and well looked after while still enjoying the shared dining experience.

Leaves and Fishes provided the perfect setting for this style of celebration, where nature, food and people all come together in a way that feels effortless and real.

Emily and Brock created a wedding that felt personal, warm and focused on shared experience. The kind of day where food is part of the story, but not the whole story.

It was a pleasure to be part of their celebration and to help bring their vision to life in such a beautiful setting.
