As part of Newcastle Food Month, we are proud to present “From The Valley to the Sea”, a one off exclusive dining experience hosted at Pier Ninety Seven, a shared dining experience with live music and stunning views over Newcastle Harbour. This long lunch celebrates the incredible food culture of Newcastle and the surrounding region.

This indulgent long lunch features a carefully curated five course individually plated menu, designed by our chefs to showcase the very best produce from both the land and sea. Each course is thoughtfully paired with exquisite Hunter Valley wines from Pepper Tree Wines, selected to complement and elevate every dish. Expect refined flavours, seasonal ingredients and a relaxed yet elevated dining experience.

The Wilderness Chef is a local, award winning private dining and catering business led by Cooper Thomas. With over ten years of experience, the business has delivered exceptional dining experiences across the Hunter region, Tasmania and New Zealand. Founded by Cooper Thomas, formerly the executive chef of local Newcastle restaurants, The Wilderness Chef is known for chef designed menus, premium service and refined event dining.

For over thirty years, Pepper Tree Wines has been a beacon for quality wine in the heart of Hunter wine country. Founded in 1991, it continues to flourish as one of the stalwart wine companies of the region.

Pepper Tree Wines started with a focus on grapes from the Hunter Valley but today, the roots run deep for owner John Davis, with vineyard sites in four premium wine growing regions across Australia.
