What to Expect at a Wedding Catering Tasting

It’s a beautiful spring evening in October. You’ve packed your favourite bottle of wine and you’re making your way to the cosy surrounds of Talulah, where an evening of great food, good company and a little taste of what The Wilderness Chef is all about awaits.

You’re welcomed with a glass of sparkling before settling in for an evening of chef-created canapés, generous shared mains and a selection of desserts.

All that’s left to do is sit back, relax and enjoy a meal with your favourite people.

Our tasting evenings are designed to give couples the opportunity to experience the food we create for weddings and events in a relaxed setting. It’s a chance to taste the menu, meet our team, ask questions and get a feel for what your own wedding or event could look like.

And while they’re designed with our wedding and event clients in mind, you certainly don’t need to be planning a wedding to come along.

If you simply love great food, these evenings are just as much for you. Whether it’s a date night, catching up with friends or just an excuse to treat yourself, we’d love to have you there.

What’s included?

Your evening begins with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine on arrival, followed by a selection of some of our favourite dishes.

Canapés

Three of our most popular handcrafted canapés to start the evening.

Shared mains

You’ll experience two main courses, each featuring a selection of proteins and paired sides, served in tasting-sized portions so you can sample a variety of dishes.

Dessert

Three dessert grazing pieces to finish the evening on a sweet note.

Everything is served tasting-style, giving you the chance to try a variety of dishes without having to choose just one. But don’t let the words “tasting size” fool you… you definitely won’t be leaving hungry.

More than just a tasting

For us, these evenings are about more than simply trying the food.

Choosing a caterer is a big decision, particularly when you’re planning a wedding. You’re trusting that team to look after one of the most important parts of the day, so being able to meet the people behind the food and have a conversation about your plans is just as important as tasting the menu.

Our tasting events give you the opportunity to meet the team, talk through your ideas and ask any questions you might have.

And, of course, there’s plenty of good food along the way.
