Adding Bar Service to Your Wedding Catering: Why Doing It All in One Place Makes Sense
Planning a wedding comes with a surprisingly long list of things to organise.
There's the venue, food, drinks, flowers, music, styling, photography and everything in between. Then there are all the little details that need to come together on the day itself.
So whenever you can take one thing off your list, it's worth considering.
That's one of the reasons we love being able to offer bar service alongside our catering.
Through our joint venture with Wild Ivory Mobile Bar, The Wilderness Chef can now look after both your food and beverage service, giving you one experienced team working across both sides of your event.
And while having everything in one place is convenient, it's about more than convenience.
It's about having a team who understands how the food and drinks need to work together and who can help make sure everything runs smoothly throughout the day.
Less time organising, more time enjoying
When you're planning a wedding, it's easy to find yourself communicating with a long list of different suppliers.
Before you know it, you've got spreadsheets, shopping lists and a dozen different conversations happening at once.
Adding bar service to your catering package means you can simplify some of that.
We can work with you on your drinks menu, help you understand quantities, provide a shopping list and make sure everything the bar team needs is organised ahead of time.
Then, when the wedding day arrives, our experienced team can take care of the service while you get on with enjoying your day.
Your food and drinks should work together
We think there's something really valuable about having your food and beverage service planned together.
The drinks you're serving can influence the food you choose, and the way your day flows can influence how the bar operates.
Maybe you're starting with a welcome drink and roaming canapés before moving into dinner.
Perhaps you'd like cocktails during cocktail hour before guests sit down for a banquet.
Or you might want a classic bar serving beer, wine, champagne and soft drinks throughout the celebration.
Whatever you're planning, having one team involved means we can look at the experience as a whole rather than treating the food and drinks as two completely separate parts of the day.
A professional team looking after your guests
There's a lot that goes into making beverage service feel effortless.
Our professional bar team can look after everything from setting up the bar and glassware to managing ice, equipment, water stations and service throughout the event.
Our staff are RSA qualified and experienced in event service, so your guests have a team looking after them from the first drink through to the end of the night.
We can also offer different styles of service depending on what you're looking for, including classic bar service, cocktails, welcome drinks, roaming tray service and table service.
You still choose the drinks
Our bar service is BYO, which means you supply the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and we take care of everything else.
This gives you plenty of flexibility to choose exactly what you'd like to serve.
We'll help you work through your beverage selection and can provide a shopping list with quantities based on your guest numbers.
So instead of wondering how many bottles of wine, how much beer or how much sparkling you need, you have someone experienced to help you work it out.
And better yet, some bottle shops even allow you to return unopened boxes, making BYO even more cost-effective.
More than just a bar
Our bar service can be tailored around your wedding and the experience you're trying to create.
Alongside our six-hour bar service, we can also add things like a two-hour cocktail service, signature cocktails, champagne towers, tea and coffee stations, tray service and table service.
We also have a collection of stylish mobile bars that can be customised to suit the look and feel of your event.
It's about creating a bar that feels like part of the wedding, rather than simply somewhere to get a drink.
One team. One less thing to worry about.
We know how much goes into planning a wedding, and we're big believers that your suppliers should make the process easier, not more complicated.
Being able to organise your catering and bar service together means fewer suppliers to coordinate, fewer details to keep track of and one professional team looking after your food and beverage experience.
And on the day itself, that's exactly what you want.
You want to be enjoying the food, having a drink with your friends, wandering around your venue and taking in everything you've spent so long planning.
Less time organising. More time enjoying your wedding.
And we'll take care of the food and drinks.
