3 Fun and Easy Halloween Recipes for Kids
Mummy Sausage Rolls
Ingredients:
4 beef, pork sausages or hot dogs (mini hotdogs for cute miniature versions)
2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
1 egg, beaten
Mustard or mayonnaise (for eyes)
Method:
Preheat oven to 200°C and line a baking tray.
Cut pastry into thin strips.
Wrap the pastry strips around each sausage, leaving small gaps to look like mummy bandages.
Brush with beaten egg and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden.
Once cooled slightly, dot small eyes using mustard or mayo.
Serve with tomato sauce “blood” for dipping!
Banana Ghost Pops
Ingredients:
2 bananas
200g white chocolate melts
Mini chocolate chips or edible eyes
Paddle pop sticks
Method:
Peel and halve the bananas, then insert a stick into each half.
Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
Dip each banana into the chocolate, coating evenly.
Place on a lined tray, add chocolate chips or edible eyes for faces.
Freeze for 1 hour before serving.
Tip: These are great served frozen — like a spooky banana popsicle!
Spider Web Cupcakes
Ingredients:
12 chocolate cupcakes (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup white icing
½ cup dark chocolate melts
Method:
Spread a smooth layer of white icing over each cupcake.
Melt dark chocolate and spoon it into a small piping bag (or zip-lock bag with the corner snipped).
Pipe three to four circles on top of the white icing.
Using a toothpick, drag lines from the centre to the edge to create a spider web pattern.
Optional: Top with a small chocolate spider or gummy for extra fun.
Perfect for parties or little helpers in the kitchen!
