On the 10th of February 2026, we had the pleasure of catering Kelsey and Karl’s beautiful intimate wedding at the stunning Villa Toscana in the Hunter Valley.
With just 16 of their closest family and friends gathered together, the entire day felt relaxed, elegant and incredibly personal. It was a celebration centred around connection, good food and bringing the people they love most together in one beautiful setting.
A Tuscan-inspired celebration in the Hunter Valley
Villa Toscana has a way of transporting you somewhere else entirely. Surrounded by beautiful grounds and warm rustic charm, the venue feels like a small escape to Tuscany right in the heart of the Hunter Valley.
The relaxed atmosphere of the property created the perfect backdrop for Kelsey and Karl’s intimate celebration, allowing guests to slow down, settle in and truly enjoy the experience together.
Canapés amongst the gardens
We began the evening with a selection of roaming canapés while guests mingled throughout the grounds of Villa Toscana.
Canapé hour during intimate weddings always feels especially meaningful. With a smaller guest list, everyone has the opportunity to genuinely connect, move through the space together and soak in the atmosphere before sitting down for the evening feast.
As guests enjoyed drinks and conversation amongst the gardens, there was such an effortless warmth to the evening that immediately set the tone for the celebration ahead.
A candlelit banquet feast
Following canapés, everyone gathered together around one long table beautifully lit by candlelight for a generous banquet feast.
Shared dining was the perfect choice for this style of wedding. Banquet service naturally encourages conversation, interaction and that familiar feeling of gathering around the table with the people closest to you. Guests passed dishes, built their ideal plates and settled into the evening together in a way that felt relaxed and connected.
